My interest in photography started in back 1984 and I purchased a Minolta 35 mm camera. I learned as many people did back then, mostly by trial and error and reading books. Over time, my photography interest wained as I became involved with other activities that made it difficult to participate in and take photos.
In late 1990’s, I acquired a digital camera and gradually returned to photography mostly “taking” family pics and stage performances at an occasional Bluegrass festival. In 2006, I purchased my first digital DSLR camera, a Nikon D40, which I still have today. The D40 was an entry level DSLR camera in the Nikon line, but it set me back on the path of enjoying photography. I soon began studying in detail, learning the “art” of photography, including understanding and using the manual settings of my gear, image composition, lighting and editing. Although my equipment inventory has dramatically increased with new camera bodies and lenses, I’ll always look back and appreciate my Nikon D40.
In 2015, after many years of learning and developing my techniques, I officially launched Jeff Partridge Photography LLC.
