Nashville Trip
Saturday/July/10 21:05
My great friend Donnie Lee and I made a trip to
Nashville recently. We carried some instruments up to
the great instrument set-up man Robin Smith to have
some work done. on the way back, we stopped at
Gallagher Guitars in Wartrace Tennessee. The folks
there were great and gave us a tour and we were even
able to pick some thanks to Stephen Gallagher. A
special treat was to play Doc Watson's 1968 G-50. He
nicknamed this guitar "The Hoss". Here are a few pics

Shure SM 81 Mircophone
Friday/February/10 12:45
I picked up a Shure SM81 microphone the other day to
add to my recording mic cabinet. It's a high quality
mic that really does a good job on acoustic guitar
and other wood instruments. I've had my eye on one
for a while and finally stepped up and bought one.
I'm looking forward to hearing the results soon with
my Collins D1 guitar as I am working on a project
here in my home studio.

Collings D1 Guitar
Thursday/September/09 18:32
I traveled up to Maple Street Guitars
yesterday and picked up a new Collings D1
guitar. The folks up there really take pride in
what they do and I enjoyed my visit. Thanks
Keith for all your help. The D1 is a great
sounding guitar with balance and lots of volume.
I'm looking forward to picking it on stage next
week at the Red Light Cafe and at the Raccoon
Creek Bluegrass festival.

New recording setup
Saturday/November/08 10:49
I recently aquired some new equipment and software
for my home studio. I purchased an Apogee Duet
interface and Logic software so all my recording on
is controlled and stored on my Mac. I can believe the
sound quality the Apogee provides and how easy Logic
is to operate. You can learn more about the Apogee
Duet by clicking here.

throughout the three days including Rhonda
Vincent, the Dailey Vincent Band, Dan Paisley

Bluegrass Brothers, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Tim
Graves & Cherokee, Carrie Hassler & Hard
Rain, Bullsboro, The Snyder Family and the
Crossties Band.

It's lots of fun being able to talk with all the artist backstage and see all my friends that come to shows. Of course I take the opportunity to snap a few photo's while I'm there too. You can visit the Hoofer's website to see upcoming shows.
