Baby
Monday/January/10 13:19
NO...it's not what you think. I have inherited my
daughters dog named "Baby". She is a mix, but people
tell me resembles a breed called "Whipit". She is
very intelligent and is accepting training very well.
She is a year old, has been spayed and current with most shots. She needs a good home so if you know of anyone who would like an affectionate loving dog, let me know.

Wall Street Survivor
Tuesday/September/08 23:23
I know all of you have heard about fantasy football
and baseball, but have you heard about a website
called Wall Street Survivor? It is actually a fantasy
stock market game that helps you learn about the
stock market. When you open a free account, it gives
you $100,000 to invest as you wish. Your results are
based on the actual stock market activity each day. I
track my stocks every day and have learned a lot.
Here is a link to the website. www.wallstreetsurvivor.com
Give it a try....it's lots of fun!
Inman Heritage Days
Monday/September/08 21:54
The Inman Heritage Days were held is past weekend (
September 19-20-21 ) and Connie and I made the trip.
Inman was the first place I ever remember living and
it was a good visit. The Heritage Days weekend takes
you back a few years in time and they had a large
display of restored tractors and a few cars and
trucks too. I was able to take my camera and take a
few shots.

If you get a chance next year, make the trip to Inman Ga and take in the Heritage Days weekend which is the third weekend each September.

Aperture 2 Software
Friday/September/08 20:44
I'm trying out Apples Aperture 2 software for photo
editing and management. Lots of cool features that I
believe will really help enhance my images and
catalogue/ organize all my shots. I'll keep everyone
posted on how things are progressing and try to give
some objective comments about my experience. You can
take a look at this link. Aperture 2
New Nikon 18-200mm zoom with VR lens

Meriwether County
Monday/September/08 21:27
I found myself in Meriwether County today on business
and on the way back home was able to take a few pics
of the County Courthouse in Greenville, The Methodist
Church that my father served in Woodbury and the
covered bridge in Imlac. I have wanted to visit the
covered bridge that spans the Big Red Oak creek in
the Imlac community. I found it on Covered Bridge
Road about a mile off Ga Hwy 85 just north of the
town of Woodbury. The covered bridge is the oldest (
1840 ) and with the approach ( 391 total feet ) is
the longest in the State of Georgia. I was also able
to visit my great grandmothers home place in Alvaton.
It was built around 1901 and has been remodeled and
is actually for sale.

I have always been interested in the story in the 1950's of John Wallace and the events illustrated in the movie "Murder In Coweta County". I found the jail where Wilson Turner was held and released leading up to the dramatic car ( and truck ) chase that lead up to the murder. It's now a thrift store right off the Meriwether Courthouse square. If you want to learn more about this true story, you can find the book and the made for TV Movie starring Andy Griffin as John Wallace and Johnny Cash as Sheriff Lamar Potts from Coweta County at Amazon.com Click Here

Saturday/September/08 09:20
I've though about creating my website for quite some
time now. Over the last 10 years, I've developed and
assisted with many websites for other people, but
always thought it would be great to do my own website
with my name and share my interests. I admit it felt
a little strange securing the domain name
"jeffpartridge.com", but I'm glad I did it before
someone else could grab it. I am using "HostMonster.com" to host my
website and was able to secure my domain name
for free with them. I tend to do my homework
(wish I could say that when I was in school)
when I'm shopping and I found they were the best
for what I wanted to do here. I'm really looking
forward to this project and hope you find some
things here that maybe interest you as well.
There's lots of work to do so I better get to
it.
